In Loving Memory

It is with profound sadness that we remember and celebrate the life of Marcos Bronfman, our dearfriend, colleague, and former Chief Operating Officer at Softball Consulting. Marcos passed awaypeacefully on October 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with aggressive cancer.

Marcos was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960. He spent his early childhood surrounded byfamily before his family settled in Bethesda, Maryland. A proud graduate of Walt Whitman HighSchool, he went on to earn his degree from the University of Maryland — a place that remainedcentral to his identity and passions for the rest of his life. He later earned his MBA from GeorgeWashington University.

Throughout his distinguished career in finance and consulting, Marcos brought clarity, structure,and steady leadership to every organization he served. He held key roles at Sallie Mae andNavient, and continued contributing his expertise in project management, structured finance,valuation, financial modeling, data analytics, and contract negotiations well after his formalretirement. Colleagues and clients alike valued his analytical mind, problem-solving ability, andunwavering integrity.

At Softball Consulting, Marcos played a pivotal role in our growth. As COO, he brought strategicvision, operational excellence, and financial discipline that helped us scale sustainably and serveour clients at the highest level. His guidance strengthened our foundation, improved ourprocesses, and allowed us to focus more fully on what matters most, delivering outstanding resultsfor the softball community. Beyond his professional contributions, Marcos was a trusted advisor, aconstant source of wisdom, and a true champion of our mission.

Marcos was a devoted friend, a generous and doting family man, and a lifelong Terp whosepassion for the University of Maryland and its athletics never faded. He served as Past President ofthe Terrapin Club and remained deeply involved in supporting Maryland Athletics. Those whoknew him remember his quiet wit, steadfast loyalty, warmth, and the way he built bridges andcreated belonging wherever he went.

Though he is no longer with us, Marcos’ impact continues — in the organizations he strengthened,the friendships he nurtured, the communities he supported, and especially in the growth andsuccess of Softball Consulting. We are forever grateful for the time we had with him and the lastingdifference he made.
